Health Benefits of Juicing:

Improve your over-all health and mental well being by juicing your own fruits and vegetables. Many people who are health conscious or who are coming back from various health problems and want do regain a healthy mind and body.

When you juice your fruits and vegetables you will drink more thank you could eat. This means you are consuming far more vitamins, minerals and other nutrients by juicing.
Many believe that drinking the juice requires less digestion allowing you to rapidly absorb more of the nutritional value from you fruits and vegetables.

Another reason is that many believe drinking freshly juiced fruits and vegetables will aid in Liver detoxification.

Benefits to your cardiovascular system and obviously your heart health are the antioxidant factors. What vitamins do we associate with great antioxidant properties? That's right, Vitamin C and E. And how can we get a healthy dose of these important antioxidants? Right again, juicing your favorite fruits and vegetables. Some you should keep in mind for a high level of vitamin E are blackberries, kiwi, asparagus and spinach. Good levels of vitamin C as you know are found in pretty much all fruits and vegetables.

To keep a healthy steady beat of our favorite life giving organ, the heart. You need to have a good supply of Potassium and Magnesium in your body. A good source for both of these minerals and one of my favorites are Blackberries.

Besides your heart you really don't have much of a life without a healthy Liver.

So what can we do to help Detoxify our liver?
One of the main and critical functions of the liver is to cleanse our blood and remove toxins and metabolic waste that we come in contact with everyday. I'm sure we all agree it behooves us to do whatever we can to help our liver perform at its best. Through juicing we can claim some of the much needed nutrients such as the antioxidants beta-carotene, B vitamins riboflavin and niacin, vitamin C, vitamin E, and N-acetyl cysteine are potent liver cleansers. Some vegetables known to be great for the liver are cabbage, brussle sprouts and cauliflower.

Another plant that I know is extremely beneficial to liver health is Milk Thistle leaves. You cut the stickers off the edge and of course wash the leaves. Then just use them as you would lettuce in a salad. My father in law had leukemia and when he would come home from the hospital my his daughters would prepare the Milk Thistle leaves as stated for his salads and when he would go back for his blood test it would always be better than when he left the hospital. The doctor asked what we were doing when he was home because he couldn't believe the difference.
