Most men have at least one point in their lives, in which, for whatever reason, they experience impotence. This may be due to being drunk or excessive stress and exhaustion. many younger men will also experience impotence due to fears regarding their sexual performances and the need to please their partners. Stress and exhaustion often play an even larger role as men grow older and their bodies begin to wear out.

Men can potentially become temporarily or even permanently impotent if they suffer from kidney or thyroid problems, have diabetes, smoke heavily, take certain medications such as those for epilepsy or heart failure, have had previous pelvic surgery or have suffered damage to the blood vessels or nerve vessels.
